Coach Training Services

Johnson Equestrian Services hosts weekly coach training sessions at our Nelson training facility. 

Our coach trainees enjoy:

• Interactive training in a friendly and supportive environment 
• Training and assessment for their EA Riding, Horse Management and coaching certificates to all levels
• Excellent success rates under the guidance of Christine Johnson, EFA NCAS Level 2 Coach and Coach Educator.


• Access to safe and skilled demonstration riders and mounts, or students are also welcome to bring their own horses.

Training is on every Wednesday at Johnson Equestrian from 10am-2pm. Cost is $120 per head. Read the latest Coaching News

Other Coaching Resources 

Here at Johnson Equestrian  we are passionate about improving our students' knowledge and skills.

Other Coaching services we offer include:

• Updating Clinics: scheduled for the last Wednesday of every month in the last three months leading up to Coach Renewals. Clinics can be arranged to suit individual’s needs
• "Technologies for Coaches" seminars: a new segment to introduce coaches to the technologies available to assist with their coaching and assessments
• Vaulting & Lunging workshops
• We regularly work with other Coach Educators and Assessors to facilitate the requirements of Activity Slip sign offs. We are proud to work with Colleen Brook L3 CE, Lyn Lynch L2 Vaulting CE .

To assist coach trainees get started in the lesson planning process I have created a template. 

Feel free to use it as a starting point in your lesson planning but always remember to keep evolving and perfecting your plans to reflect your personal style and the best teaching methods available.
