It was only by chance that I met my new horse Oscar (Dream On). I was taken to the property of Christine Johnson by a friend to look at another horse for a client (a lovley black thoroughbred, which was hastily snapped up), and whilst there Chrissie said to me "why don't you have a look at this one for yourself, I think hes a bit special". I did, and I soon agreed with Chrissie, that yes this fellow was a "bit special".

Oscar and I have been together now for 18 months, and in that time he has won nearly every show Championship he has competed in, culminating with his win of the "Hygain Masters (Nov 06) - Champion Show Hunter Hack" and taking me to Res. Champion Adult Rider on the same day. This show qualified both him and myself for the Grand National (one of Australias biggest shows) which is held at SIEC in March and judged by 2 international judges. This was such a thrill, as it is rare for a horse to qualify for this show in their first season of howing. Oscar will also compete at this years Sydney Royal in both his class and my riding class.

Not only is Oscar a great horse to train and ride, he is an affectionateg guy too. Hes such an angel to take anywhere that my mum has dubbed him "Peter Perfect". I would recommend anyone looking to buy a horse, to talk to Chrissie, as she has an amazing eye not only for a showjumper but for a top hack prospect. Every time he wins another big show I think about what Chrissie first said to me about this horse - "I THINK HE'S A BIT SPECIAL"!!
