What happens at our Holiday Training Clinics?
During the
holidays I like to organise 1 day training clinics and they have proved
to be very successful. Groups are kept small and of similar ages and abilities.
Riders don't stay over night, although I can organise accommodation for
horses if riders are doing more than one day of clinics.
Riders bring their own lunch and refreshment (lots of yummy things please,
so we can share at lunch time).
All riders get 2 riding sessions, usually a flat lesson in the morning
and jump training in the afternoon, but others prefer jumping and more
jumping, while others enjoy lunge lessons, horse handling skills and bush
riding.
All clinics include a horse management component where skills such as
temperature taking, bandaging and restraint are demonstrated and practiced.
Special guests such as horse dentists, farriers, vets and sports exercise
specialist are sometimes included. You can form your own group or arrange
to be included in a group to suit you.
Our facilities allow one group to be training on the arena while another
is training simultaneously at "ponyland" over our cross-country course.
It is important however to book early to be in a group that will be the
most fun and rewarding for you.
